People and Planet in Partnership:
We recognize that individuals have valuable knowledge, skills, and ideas that they bring to the group contributing to a common goal. We believe that individuals have the right and the potential to be active participants in their cities. We view individuals as our co-creators, and we work with them towards building a more sustainable future.
Services &

Our Process
Our Process
Modern cities face numerous and complex challenges that may seem impossible to be adequately addressed. At InCommOn, we look at the big picture first and then we focus on solving the smaller things that actually make a difference, while understanding that many issues are interrelated.
Our process is simple:
1 Identify the problems that cities face
2 Communicate these problems and raise awareness
3 Help citizens and groups explore potential solutions to these problems
4 Provide adequate tools and resources to apply these solutions
5 Co-design and co-create tangible sustainable solutions together with the communities
6 Support the citizens by remaining by their side
7 Listen to the constantly changing needs of the city; keep evolving and adapting to these changes

Our Story
2016
2019
The organisation was founded in 2016 as ‘Filoxenia International’ by a group of volunteers responding to the humanitarian crisis in Northern Greece.
From 2016 till 2019 it undertook social and housing projects with displaced people and local residents with a holistic approach – giving equal consideration to the social, environmental, economic and long-term development issues – and working with people as equal participants to generate long term, sustainable solutions.
In 2019, the team decided to adapt the scope of the organisation to address the causes of urban problems, rather than reacting to their results, developing into ‘InCommOn – Innovative Communities Onwards’, which empowers communities to develop their own skills and work together to solve problems collectively.
